External Repairs to The Guildhall, Liskeard, PL14 3JE
Liskeard Town Council is seeking to appoint suitably qualified and experienced contractors to undertake external repairs to the rainwater goods and joinery on the north elevation (Pike Street) of the historic Grade 2* listed Guildhall.
The deadline for receipt of tenders is 1pm Friday 29 August 2025.

Question: Can we price for a paint other than the Zinsser One-Coat that meets the same product standards?
Answer: Yes, if it gives minimum 15 years to maintenance life expectancy.
Question: Can an alternative to lime putty be used?
Answer: No, lime putty must be used.

Q: Is item 3.03 C correct in the schedule of works for the Guildhall as it mentions soffits and rafter ends where there aren’t any?
A: The schedule of works has been corrected (REV D) to say only the timber fascia board.
