
It's carnival time again and there is lots going on in Liskeard organised by the Liskeard Lions
2013 Events:
Sunday 30th June
Music In The Park. Local bands and musicians, playing music of interest to all age groups, will be providing the entertainment in Westbourne Gardens. In the past this has been a very pleasant afternoon with people bringing along picnics and drinks and just chilling out.
Tuesday 2nd July
Pavement Artists. An evening event for children. The youngsters are divided into different age categories and there are prizes for the best pictures. Chalks and chalkboards will be provided. There is no entry fee.
Bingo. Liskeard Public Hall, doors open 7pm eyes down 8pm.
Wednesday 3rd July
Furry Dance. This is a traditional Cornish dance that needs to be revitalised. We would like people from many of the local organisations to come along and dance through the town and have some fun - the steps are not hard and there are people who will teach them on the day. Fancy dress is optional, there are awards for the best adults and children’s entries and a small entry fee.Leaving the cattle market at 6.30pm, entries from 5.30pm.

Thursday 4th July
A number of challenging games, some mental and some physical and some you just have to find out about on the night. To take place at the Eliot House Hotel. Teams of four to six. Small entry fee £5.
Friday 5th July
Taking place in the Public Hall. You may enter teams comprising of 4-6 members with a small prize for the winning team. There will be a bar. £5 per team
Saturday 6th July
Carnival Procession. Assembly from 5pm in the Cattle Market, judging 6pm, procession leaves 6.30pm.The main event of the week. There are classes for floats, walkers, groups and individual and all are welcome.
