Welcome to Liskeard Town Council’s web page for young people. We want to know how you feel
about the town and what needs to be done to improve it. So feel free to add your comments. You will need to create a login below and your password will be emailed to you.
Some ground rules: Contributors agree to use the comments and posts option to send messages and
materials that are proper and related to the particular items. We retain the right to remove any
comment we determine to be, at our sole discretion, unacceptable. These include personal attacks, profanity, racism, cyber-bullying, discriminations and propagating violence of any sort as
well as comments that are for any other reasons objectionable.

The Town Council have consulted young people in the past and as a result developed some successful projects such as the Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) in Rapson’s Field (photos are shown
here). So we will listen. Unfortunately one of our young people - Jesse Stevens died a few
months ago. To commemorate his memory we, with his family and friends want to create a lasting
tribute. Since Jesse was a keen skater it seems logical that we try and create something for
skaters, possibly street skate equipment. But you know better than we do, so your ideas are incredibly important. And since Rapson’s is getting tight for space should we try and get grant
funding for a new area?
The Town Council would like to try and set up a Youth Council to influence and inform the Town Council and possibly Cornwall Council too. If you’re interested and between 12 and 18, please contact either Helen Wasilewski
assistantclerk@liskeard.gov.uk
or Annie Railton at Liskeard Youth
Group in the Liskerrett Centre.
