Things To Do in Liskeard

Liskeard is a great place to visit. Come and explore the independent shops, many of which retain their original Victorian shop fronts. You can find just about anything you need in the town as there are a wide range of traders stocking quality local food, arts & crafts, clothes, books and more. There are a variety of places to eat offering everything from fine dining to a quick snack.

There are often concerts and other events in the town, drop into the Town Information Centre for details of what’s on.

While there why not pick up a copy of the Heritage Trail, this free map takes you on a guided walk around the town pointing out all the places of interest including the Pipe Well which is fed by four springs and the water was once said to have miraculous properties, be good for the eyes and have ‘matrimonial powers’.

Leisure facilities are available at Lux Park, providing a swimming pool, indoor sports and fitness centre as well as outdoor tennis courts and an all-weather floodlit football and hockey pitch.

Westbourne Gardens provide a quiet sheltered retreat a short distance from the town centre. Castle Park has a play area for the children and has a great view over the town
